A sample of Eben writing is provided and we learn that the team members started a school to teach some of the Ebens earth science. They meet one Eben who begins to understand earth science better than the other Ebens.
The team members are asked to stay inside their living quarters because an unknown alien ship has entered the atmosphere of Planet Serpo.
